AeroCloud Introduces Passenger Processing Solutions

15th August 2023

AeroCloud has introduced Passenger Processing Solutions to empower airport stakeholders to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.

AeroCloud, the intelligent airport management platform that improves collaboration and operational efficiencies, today announces that it has introduced a raft of Passenger Processing Solutions, including CUPPS, CUSS and DCS, for airport stakeholders to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Airports, fixed-based operators (FBOs), ground handlers, and airlines can all access and share the solutions to maximise the utilisation of hardware and space in terminals while also using them to ensure that passengers have a smooth boarding experience. Lincoln Airport in Nebraska, US and Teesside International Airport, UK, are some of the airports that are already harnessing AeroCloud’s Passenger Processing Solutions to realise the benefits of common-use tools.

George Richardson, CEO of AeroCloud, said: “One of the products airports rapidly need as air travel resumes is common-use systems to optimise their fixed infrastructure. That’s why we’re so thrilled to introduce our Passenger Processing Solutions, supported by our team of experts who have decades’ worth of combined experience in common use. They take a customer-centric approach to help airports identify solutions that will solve their specific needs and deploy them fast so they can manage their environments more effectively, all the while powering better decision-making and passenger experiences.”

AeroCloud’s Passenger Processing solutions include four key modules:

Common Use eDesktop: A fully managed, cloud-hosted, secure desktop that allows airports to share desks and equipment, which can quickly and easily switch between airline systems

Departure Control System (eDCS): Designed to be the most flexible DCS on the market, providing airport staff and handlers with the tools needed to process departing and arriving passengers, crew and baggage

Security Scanning Solutions (eScan): Providing simple and flexible passenger verification against a central database for multiple touch points including security, Fast Track and lounges

Common Use Self-Service Solutions (CUSS): Self-service kiosks, bag tag printing kiosks, passenger mobile apps and automated gates deliver a frictionless passenger experience, enabling travellers to move efficiently and autonomously through the airport

A one-stop-shop for intelligent airports

The introduction of passenger processing solutions follows the merger of Flight Solutions by AeroCloud last year. The solutions use the globally accepted standards introduced by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). They are supported by a team of passenger processing experts, including AeroCloud’s Global Director of Common-Use, Paul Secker, and Software Engineering Manager, Julian Lloyd, who is co-chair of IATA’s CUPPS and ITPS sub-groups.

AeroCloud now provides airports with a one-stop-shop of sector-leading technologies that streamline processes, enhance operations and boost performance. Alongside Passenger Processing Solutions, AeroCloud powers smarter decision-making through its cloud-native, Airport Operations System and its industry-first computer vision technology and award-winning, AeroCloud Optic, which enables airports to anonymously, intelligently, and accurately track passengers from kerb to gate for the first time.
